Integration and immigration services
Employment Services provide advice and guidance for job searching and offer other services that support your integration and help you find employment.
When you register as a jobseeker, you begin your job search and become a client of your local employment services. As a jobseeker, you can apply for unemployment benefits from Kela or your unemployment fund.
You can register as a jobseeker via the Employment Service Portal (Työmarkkinatori) or by visiting in person. You can only use the online service if you have a Finnish personal identity code and the means for electronic identification.
Once we receive notice that you have registered as a jobseeker, we will contact you to conduct an initial interview. During this interview, we will discuss your educational and employment background, language skills, and other factors affecting your integration and employment.
Together, we will also create an integration plan. This plan will include studying Finnish or Swedish and participating in services that best support your path to employment.
